Runa Takahashi | 高橋 瑠菜

Runa Takahashi completed an internship in the city of Hot Springs, Arkansas during the summer of 2022. Runa is a graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas where she attained a bachelor of arts degree in computer science with a minor in electronic commerce.

Runa came to the United States in 2018 after graduating from Hiratsuka Gakuen High School in Hiratsuka City in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. During her time at Arkansas State University, she joined the Japanese Student Organization where she served as vice-president while assisting with finance management and accounting. As a member of JSO Runa assisted with many outreach activities such as the Japanese Culture Club, a JSO initiative that shares Japanese language and culture traditions with local children in Craighead County.

She participated in the Women’s Business Leadership Center, a collaborative program of the Neil Griffin College of Business at Arkansas State University that focuses on providing mentoring, networking and recognition for women. Runa is a staunch volunteer and loves learning.

Currently Takahashi works for Kyocera, a Japanese multinational ceramics and electronics manufacturer headquartered in Kyoto,Japan where Runa works in the new business development department helping launch new businesses.

Runa believed that having a positive attitude along with a good work ethic helped her achiever her academic and professional goals.

高橋ルナさんは、2022年夏にアーカンソー州ホットスプリングス市でインターンシップを修了しました。ルナさんはアーカンソー州ジョーンズボロにあるアーカンソー州立大学の卒業生で、コンピュータサイエンスの学士号を取得し、副専攻で電子商取引を学びました。

ルナさんは、神奈川県平塚市にある平塚学園高校を卒業後、2018年にアメリカに渡りました。アーカンソー州立大学在学中、ルナさんは日本人学生会（JSO）に加入し、副会長を務める傍ら、財務管理や会計のサポートを行いました。また、JSOのメンバーとして、クレイグヘッド郡の地元の子どもたちに日本語や文化を伝える活動「日本文化クラブ」など、多くのアウトリーチ活動に参加しました。

ルナさんはまた、アーカンソー州立大学のニール・グリフィン経営学部が運営する女性ビジネスリーダーシップセンターのプログラムにも参加しました。このプログラムは、メンタリングやネットワーキング、女性への認知を提供することを目的としています。

ルナさんはボランティア活動に熱心で、学ぶことが大好きです。

現在、ルナさんは日本の京都市に本社を置く多国籍企業である京セラで働いており、新規事業開発部門に所属し、新しい事業の立ち上げに携わっています。

ルナさんは、前向きな姿勢と勤勉な働き方が、学業と仕事の目標を達成するうえで役立ったと信じています。
